This is dubbed “Grandma’s Chocolate Pie” as she became famous in her town for it. Still tastes like pure heaven today!

Instructions:

1. Combine cocoa, flour, sugar, salt, and milk in a pot over medium to medium-high heat. Add beaten egg yolks while stirring.
2. Cook, stirring continuously, until the mixture thickens to a pudding-like consistency. This step usually takes anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes.
3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and butter.
4. Pour into a pre-baked pie shell.
5. Chill in the fridge. Top with whipped cream or meringue if desired.
