Hot Water Magic: Place a bowl or pot of hot water inside the freezer. The steam generated will start to melt the encasing ice, making it easier to remove. Ensure that the water is hot, but not boiling, to avoid any damage to the freezer’s interior.
Ice Removal: As the ice begins to melt, use a cloth or sponge to gently wipe away the water and dislodge loosening ice. Be sure not to use sharp objects to chip away at the ice, as this could damage the freezer’s interior.
Wipe Down: Once all the ice has been removed, give the inside of the freezer a thorough wipe down to mop up any residual water, thus preventing immediate re-icing.
Return Your Frozen Goods: With a frost-free environment, place your items back into the freezer, organizing them in a way that allows for optimal air circulation.
