Meatball Lasagna Bake

Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the meat, and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the onion is softened.

Stir in the marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes, then remove it from the heat.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix until well combined.

To assemble the lasagna bake, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Place a layer of cooked lasagna noodles on top of the sauce, slightly overlapping them.

Spread half of the ricotta cheese mixture evenly over the noodles.

Spoon half of the remaining meat sauce over the ricotta cheese layer.
