I was not sure at first, but once I tried this recipe, I knew it’d be a staple in our household

1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish with a bit of the melted butter.
2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, cut the cold cubed butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
3. Gradually add the milk to the flour mixture, stirring until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a bit more flour; if it’s too dry, add a bit more milk.
4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for a few turns until it comes together. Pat the dough into a rectangle, about 1 inch thick.
5. Cut the dough into 9 equal squares and place them in the prepared baking dish. Pour the melted butter over the top of the biscuits, making sure each one is coated.

6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown on top.
7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
