Homestyle Chicken with Buttered Noodles


Instructions:
Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add minced garlic, dried thyme, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for about 1 minute, stirring frequently, until fragrant.
Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet with the butter sauce. Spoon some of the sauce over the chicken to coat.
To serve, divide the buttered noodles onto plates. Top each serving with a chicken breast. Spoon additional sauce over the chicken and noodles. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
