Homemade Steak Sauce

In a small saucepan, combine all the ingredients: ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and hot sauce (if using).
Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring frequently.
Once simmering, reduce the heat to low and let the sauce cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it has thickened slightly and all the flavors have melded together.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the steak sauce cool for a few minutes.
Transfer the steak sauce to a glass jar or container with a tight-fitting lid.
Store the homemade steak sauce in the refrigerator until ready to use. It will keep well for up to 2 weeks.
