Grandma’s Deep-Fried Egg Bread

Instructions:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the wheat flour and salt.
Gradually add water to the flour mixture, mixing well until a smooth dough forms.
Divide the dough into small balls, roughly the size of a golf ball.
Flatten each ball into a small disk.
Peel the hard-boiled eggs and slice them thinly.
Chop the green onions finely.
Place a few slices of egg and a sprinkle of chopped green onions onto each disk of dough.
Fold the dough over the filling, sealing the edges tightly.
Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or fryer.
Carefully place the filled dough into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking.
Once cooked, remove the fried bread from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Brush the fried bread with melted butter while still hot.
