Gesmoorde / Braised Chicken

Braised onions in oil until dark brown. Add garlic, bay leaves, cloves and allspice. Add chicken and potatoes, stir and cook. Brown it as much as possible. Add chicken stock / vegetable stock and add little drops of water at a time as needed. Add salt and pepper to taste. When chicken and potatoes are cooked through add peas / mix vegetables and cook for a further 5 minutes.

Serve with rice achas / blatjang
