Easy Guacamole

Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
Mash the avocado with a fork until smooth or leave slightly chunky, depending on your preference.
Add the lime juice to the mashed avocado and stir to combine (this helps prevent browning).
Stir in the chopped red onion, diced tomato, and fresh cilantro.
Season with salt and black pepper, adjusting to taste.
For a little heat, add finely chopped jalapeño if desired.
Mix all ingredients together until well combined.
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Serve immediately with tortilla chips, tacos, or use as a topping for burgers and sandwiches.
