Dr Pepper Ribs

1. Get the Ribs Ready: Put the country-style pork ribs into a slow cooker and pour in one can of Dr Pepper soda. Let them cook on low for about 7 hours or on high for around 4 hours until they’re nice and tender.

2. Preheat the Oven: When the ribs are nearly done in the slow cooker, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and set a wire rack on top.

3. Make the BBQ Glaze: Mix together the BBQ sauce, liquid smoke, garlic powder, ground black pepper, and the remaining ½ cup of Dr Pepper soda in a small bowl. Stir it well until everything’s blended.

4. Move the Ribs to the Oven: Carefully move the cooked ribs from the slow cooker to the wire rack on your prepared baking sheet.

5. Brush on the Glaze: Brush the ribs generously with the BBQ glaze, making sure they’re all coated nicely.

6. Bake the Ribs: Pop the ribs into the preheated oven and bake them for 15 minutes. After that time, flip them over, brush on some more BBQ glaze, and bake for another 15 minutes or until they’re caramelized and perfectly glazed.

7. Serve and Enjoy: Once they’re done, take the ribs out of the oven and serve them up hot. You can serve any leftover BBQ sauce on the side for dipping.
