Chinese Pepper Steak with Onion

Instructions:
Marinate the Beef:
In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, and black pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Prepare the Vegetables:

Thinly slice the onion, green bell pepper, and red bell pepper. Mince the garlic and ginger.
Cook the Beef:

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef in batches, if necessary, and cook until browned and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
Cook the Vegetables:

In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the sliced onion, green bell pepper, and red bell pepper. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
Add Garlic and Ginger:

Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet and stir-fry for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
Make the Sauce:

In a small bowl, combine the beef broth and 2 tablespoons soy sauce. Pour the mixture into the skillet and bring to a simmer.
Add the cooked beef back to the skillet and mix well.
Thicken the Sauce:

Stir in the cornstarch slurry (cornstarch mixed with water) and cook for another 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
Serve:

Serve the Chinese Pepper Steak with Onion hot over cooked rice.
