Bang Bang Shrimp

INSTRUCTIONS

Prepare the Shrimp:
In a large bowl, mix buttermilk, egg, garlic powder, smoked paprika, hot sauce, salt, and black pepper.
Add the cleaned and deveined shrimp to the buttermilk mixture. Let it marinate for at least 15-20 minutes.
Coat the Shrimp:
In a shallow dish, combine the all-purpose flour and cornstarch.
Remove the shrimp from the buttermilk mixture, allowing excess to drip off, and dredge them in the flour-cornstarch mixture.
Coat each shrimp with Panko breadcrumbs, pressing lightly to adhere.
Fry the Shrimp:
Heat oil in a large skillet or deep fryer over medium-high heat.
Fry the shrimp in batches, avoiding overcrowding the pan, until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Remove the shrimp and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Prepare the Sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, hot sauce, honey, salt, and pepper until smooth and well combined.
Toss and Serve:
In a large bowl, gently toss the fried shrimp with the prepared sauce until evenly coated.
Serve the Bang Bang Shrimp immediately, garnished with chopped green onions or cilantro if desired. Enjoy!
