Banana Caramel Upside-Down Cake

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Melt butter in a 9-inch round baking pan. Add brown sugar and arrange banana slices on top.
In a bowl, beat eggs and vanilla. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add dry ingredients to egg mixture alternately with buttermilk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
Pour batter over bananas in the pan.
Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate.
