Baked Cod with Lemon and Garlic

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil or coat it with non-stick cooking spray.

Place the cod fillets in the prepared baking dish, arranging them in a single layer.

In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.

Pour the lemon-garlic mixture evenly over the cod fillets, making sure they are well coated.

Place a few lemon slices on top of each fillet for added flavor.

Bake the cod in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.
