Creole-Style Shrimp and Sausage Gumbo

Ingredients:

2 cans (14 oz or 420 ml each) of stewed tomatoes

1/4 pound (120 g) of reduced-fat smoked sausage, thinly sliced

1 red bell pepper, finely chopped

1 clove of garlic, peeled and finely minced

1/8 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes

1/2 pound (240 g) of fresh okra, sliced

3/4 pound of medium shrimp, peeled and deveined

Salt, to taste

3 cups (750 ml) of warm cooked rice
