Easy Roasted Chicken

From My Kitchen To Yours – keeping our heritage alive
Spice chicken with your favourite
spice and salt to taste.
Add few potatoes (parboiled) Butternut pieces
Drizzle slightly with oil.
Into an oven dish, bake in a hot 180 degrees oven for 40 minutes.
Baste with own pan juices halfway through baking.
Grill for a further 10 minutes and enjoy
Here I made a side dish of steamed gem squash, hollowed out with added cream style sweet corn with a drizzle of grated cheese and a sprinkle of mixed herbs.
Take note:
I added the cooked gem squash to the chicken only when i changed the stove setting to grill for the last 10 minutes only to get that grilled effect.
